Handmade and of the best quality, the Azule Cement Tile
Each cement tile is made by hand piece by piece. This happens in Vietnam, where they specialize in making the pattern tile. This cement tile is special in its kind because this tile is not baked but is pressed. This is done by hand and the colors are added in a mould. Because the tile is not fired, the tile remains porous and must be impregnated during installation. A very special tile! Want to see how to make a cement tile? Placing, impregnating and maintaining the cement tile
The cement tile is made of marble powder which means it must be treated like a natural stone tile. This makes the tile sensitive to acids, bleach or other corrosive cleaning agents. The tile must also be installed with acid-free tile adhesive, grout and sealant. Placing and treating the Portuguese cement tile is slightly different than a regular tile. You have to treat these during and after laying. You impregnate the tile with impregnating agent from the Azule brand. Depending on the space, use Azule Tile Sealant, Azule Color Intensifier or Azule Tile Oil. The tile can be maintained with acid-free cleaning agent such as green soap or Azule Tiles Soap, which has been specially developed for cement tiles.
