Stain Stop

Azule Stain Stop is the base impregnation for cement tiles. It protects the porous surface from the penetration of grout material and dirt and helps prevent stains.

Stain protection before grouting

Cement tiles are pressed and not fired. Their color layer consists of marble powder and has properties similar to natural stone. Azule Stain Stop penetrates the top layer and hardens there. Use it as the first impregnation after laying, but before grouting. It can also be used as a second finishing layer; the treatment scheme is decisive.

Do not impregnate before laying

Never pre-impregnate loose tiles. The moisture from the adhesive must be able to evaporate through the tiles and joints. Therefore allow the adhesive to dry sufficiently and ensure good ventilation.

The surface must be clean, dry, and free of dirt as well as grout, haze, and adhesive residues. Apply Stain Stop evenly with a roller or impregnation pad, preferably in sections of about twelve tiles. Remove air bubbles with a dry sponge. Repeat the application once the tiles are dry. Then allow them to dry for at least 24 hours before continuing work or using the floor.
